Colombo, May 12 (Daily Mirror)-The Cabinet has approved the awarding of seven construction contracts for Phase 2 of Section 3 of the Central Expressway Project from Rambukkana to Galagedara.
The project, spanning from km 13+800 to km 32+450, will be implemented using government funds through competitive procurement among qualified local contractors.
According to the government, the contracts were awarded following recommendations by the High-Level Standing Procurement Committee.
Package 2A was awarded to Maga Engineering Private Limited for Rs. 14.90 billion excluding VAT, while Package 2B was awarded to K. D. A. Weerasinghe & Company Private Limited for Rs. 14.71 billion excluding VAT.
Package 2C was awarded to International Construction Consortium Private Limited for Rs. 14.12 billion excluding VAT, and Package 2D to NEM Construction Private Limited for Rs. 16.39 billion excluding VAT.
Meanwhile, Package 2E was awarded to Access Engineering PLC for Rs. 18.70 billion excluding VAT, Package 2F to Edward and Christie Private Limited for Rs. 14.52 billion excluding VAT, and Package 2G to Maga Engineering Private Limited for Rs. 19.10 billion excluding VAT.
