Cabinet approval sought to vaccinate all public servants

Minister of Public Services, Provincial Councils and Local Government Janaka Bandara said he sought Cabinet approval for the vaccination of all public servants against Covid-19.

The Minister said the importance of the public service was felt more and more during the pandemic.he said public services are being carried out despite the Covid-19 threat due to the commitment of 1.4 million government workers.the Minister said the government had taken all necessary measures for the safety of public servants at this hour. “We took measures to pay their salaries well ahead of the due date in May.that is because of our concern towards employees of the public service,”he said.
