COPE like a reality show: Namal

Colombo, June 19 (Daily Mirror) - The Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) is just like a reality show as it can only submit documents and get MPs to debate them, Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Namal Rajapaksa told Parliament today.

“The COPE is like a reality show as it has no powers to take action against any wrong doers but is only able to create media shows with its findings,” he added.  

He said COPE has failed to come up with any action to prevent corruption.
