Businessman killed in Kalutara shooting

Colombo, May 28 (Daily Mirror) - A businessman was shot and killed this morning, May 28, in the Vettumakada area on Mosque Road in Kalutara.

According to police, the victim was traveling on a motorcycle around 8:59 AM when he was intercepted by unidentified individuals who arrived in a motor car. The attackers reportedly opened fire before fleeing the area.

The injured businessman was admitted to Nagoda Hospital for emergency treatment but later died from his injuries.

Police Media Spokesperson F.U. Woottler said that three special police teams have been assigned to investigate the killing.
