Burials of COVID-19 victims allowed only after relevant guidelines

Burials of COVID-19 victims will only be permitted after relevant guidelines are issued, Director General Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardena said.

He told media that steps are being taken to locate suitable burial grounds and added there were certain crucial factors need to be analyzed before finding burial grounds.

“The relevant analytical details will be conveyed to COVID-19 Task Force, which will then grant the final approval ”, Dr. Gunawardene added.
