Commenting on the 2017 budget proposals Parliamentarian Dinesh Gunawardane noted that the increase in taxes would effect almost all sectors as well as the working class citizens of this country.

He also said that the Budget proposals indicate a dangerous trend for the economy . From this it is clear that the government is unable to administer the economy properly.
