Brig. Salley appointed SIS chief

Former Military Intelligence chief Brigadier Suresh Salley has been appointed as the head of State Intelligence Service (SIS) by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, informed sources said.

DIG Nilantha Jayaweera, who was the SIS director has been transferred to the Police Headquarters.

Meanwhile, Brigadier Chandana Wickremesinghe has been appointed as the Army Spokesman.
