Books, school supplies, medicines, health equipment to be exempted from VAT: President

Parliament, March 6 (Daily Mirror)- President Ranil Wickremesinghe today announced that items such as books, school supplies, medicines and health equipment will be exempted from the VAT list.

He told Parliament that the government will also take steps to further reduce the VAT percentage in the future.
