Avant-Garde vessel ordered to be released

Galle Chief Magistrate Nilupuli Lankapura today ordered that vessel Avant-Garde, be released to Sri Lanka Shipping Company on a bond of Rs. 35 million.

The Avant Garde was taken into custody and anchored in the Galle port on charges of transporting illegal weapons and ammunition. (D.G. Sugathapala)
