Around 3,000 chicks died when a fire broke out at a poultry farm in Pallegama, Pannala early this morning, the Police said.
They said the fire is suspected to have broken out due to a gas leak.
However, the cause for the fire is yet to be ascertained and further investigations are being carried out.
