Anura to contest under ‘compass’

The National People’s Power (NPP) will contest the forthcoming presidential election under the ‘compass’ symbol which is ideal to lead the country to a new direction, its presidential candidate Anura Kumara Dissanayake said today.

“People have got an opportunity to elect a new leader and new governance. Leaders elected for the last 71 years have contravened the aspirations of people. The NPP is ready to ensure an administration that will strike a balance between people’s aspirations and governance,” he said.

He said people should decide whether to continue the destructive political and economic path or select a trail of prosperity and happiness which the NPP would ensure. (Ajith Siriwardana)
