Another pregnant mother dies of COVID-19

A 28-year-old pregnant mother had succumbed to COVID-19 infection after a Cesarean delivery at the Kurunegala Teaching Hospital.

Doctors could only manage to save the life of the infant, hospital sources said.

The deceased mother is a resident of Boralugoda in Kobeigane.

This records the third COVID death of pregnant mothers in Sri Lanka. (Pushpakumara Jayaratne)
