Another chance for the unvaccinated to get COVID jab

The Health Ministry has created another opportunity for the unvaccinated individuals to get their vaccine without further delay.

Deputy Director General of Health Services Dr. Hemantha Herath told a news briefing today that they hope every eligible person gets their COVID vaccine to ensure protection of everyone else.

“Accordingly, eligible people who are yet to receive COVID vaccines are advised to coordinate with their respective MOH and make necessary arrangements to get the vaccine,” he said.

“We, as health authorities earnestly invite those unvaccinated people to get themselves vaccinated without further delay.

Some proportion of population has abstained from getting the COVID jab due to various reasons including misconceptions and myths. (Sheain Fernandopulle)
