Action against two non-parliamentary personalities who gave publicity to USD 2.5 million heist

Colombo, May 5 (Daily Mirror) - Action will be taken against two non-parliamentary personalities who have caused distress to the family of State official Ranga Rajapaksa who was found dead after the alleged heist of USD 2.5 million was revealed, a senior Minister told Parliament today.

Chief Government Whip Nalinda Jayatissa said these two personalities have caused distress to the family of the deceased State official by uploading posts on social media. 

“These two persons have caused tremendous distress to the family of the deceased. His alms giving will be held today. The family members will lodge a complaint with the police after the rituals are over. Action will be taken against all who shared those posts,” the Minister said.
