9-hour water cut in Colombo on Saturday: NWSDB

Water supply for several areas in Colombo will be suspended for nine hours from Saturday (18), the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) said.

The water supply will be disrupted from 11.00p.m Saturday (18) to 8.00a.m Sunday (19).

The NWSDB said the interruption of water supply was due to the improvement work of an essential distribution pipeline carried out under the Greater Colombo Water and Wastewater Management Programme and to disconnect old distributions.

Accordingly, the water supply will be suspended for Colombo 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
