48-hour water cut in Colombo

A 48- hour water cut will be imposed in several areas in Colombo from Friday to Sunday, due to construction work being carried out at the Battaramulla-Polduwa Bridge, the National Water Supple and Drainage Board said.

The NWSDB said the water cut was to facilitate the connection of the new Ambatale- Dehiwela pipeline to the Battaramulla- Polduwa main line.

The water supply will be suspended from 10.00 p.m. on Friday (20) to 10.00 p.m. on Sunday (22) in the areas of Dehiwala- Mount Lavinia Municipal area, Soysapura, Kotikawatta -Mulleriyawa, Mulleriyawa North, Battaramulla, Pelawatte, Colombo 4, 5, and 6.

Apart from this water cut, the Water Board informed that Colombo 3 and 7 will be subject to a water supply at low pressure.
