4 kg of hashish worth over Rs.4 mn found in secret bunker of house

A 34-year-old man has been arrested by the STF with four kilos of hashish valued at Rs. 4 million during a raid at Mahawatta in Grandpass.

Following a tip off received by SSP Sylvester Wijesinghe under the supervision of STF Commandant DIG Waruna Jayasundara, a team of officers of the Special Raid Unit raided a house.

The stock of hashish was subtly hidden in a secret bunker of the suspect’s house.

The suspect and seized hashish were handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau for further investigations.
