2021 A/L, grade 5 exam application deadline extended to Sept 15: Education Ministry

Taking into consideration the prevailing situation in the country, the Education Ministry has decided to extend the call for applications for the 2021 G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) and the Grade Five Scholarship examinations to September 15.

Accordingly, the due date for accepting applications for sitting for the 2021 GCE A/L Examination has been called from schools and private candidates from July 5 to 30.

All applications will be  called only for the online-based system, the Ministry said.

To apply online, applicants are requested to visit the Examinations Department's official website www.doenets.lk or the Department's Official Mobile App "DoE" and read the relevant instructions carefully and submit the application online accordingly.

Government school students should apply for the above examination using the usernames and passwords already given to the principals of the relevant schools.

Private applicants are required to complete the application form in person in accordance with the relevant instructions.

Thereafter, the applicants should obtain a hard copy and keep it safe with them to present when required. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
