18hr water cut in Kalutara from today

A 18-hour water cut will be in several areas of Kalutara starting from 8.00 am today (10) due to essential maintenance on CEB Power supply line to Kethhena Treatment Plant Intake, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) said.

The water supply will be interrupted until 2.00a.m on Saturday (11).

Accordingly, the Wadduwa, Waskaduwa, Pothupitiya, Kalutara (North/South), Katukurunda, Nagoda, Bentota, Payagala, Bombuwala, Maggona, Beruwala, Dharga Town, Aluthgama, Pilaminawatta, Kaluwamodara, and Moragolla areas will be affected.

The NWSDB regretted any inconvenience likely to be caused to the consumers as a result of the water cut and requested them to kindly stock sufficient water.
