16 ASPs promoted as SPs

Sixteen Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP)s including retired ASP A. P. Liyanage have been promoted to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) with effect from January 13, 2020.

The promotions were approved by the Public Service Commission and the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security.

Accordingly, the promoted ASPs were; M.M. Kumarasinghe, N.J. Edirisinghe, E.L.M.C Banda, I.G.J.M Devapriya, L.A.A. Wijesinghe, A.J Gunasekara, W.A.H.N Jayathilaka, Ajith Abeywardena, G.D.A Priyantha, N.R.H.P Gunasekara, N.V. Lawrence, W.M.S. Weerasekera, N.W. Senanayake, D.G. Wickramaarachchi and M.D.D.
