150 mm rain today

Heavy showers or thundershowers of about 150 mm will be experienced  today in the Northern, North-Central, Eastern and Uva Provinces the Meteorology Department said.

They said showers will  occur in the Northern, North-Central, Eastern and Uva Provinces and in the Hambantota district.

The public is requested to take adequate precautions minimise damages caused by temporary localised strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
