Colombo, April 26 (Daily Mirror) - Colombo residents are set to experience a 14-hour water cut tomorrow as the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) announced that water supply to several areas in the city will be suspended.

The NWSDB reported that the water cut will apply to the Colombo 5, 6, Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia and Moratuwa Urban Council areas, Jayanthipura and Pelawatta.

Water supply will be disrupted at 5 p.m. tomorrow (27), and will resume at 7 a.m. on Sunday (28).

According to the NWS&DB, the water cut is necessary as part of the ongoing essential maintenance work under the Ambatale Water Supply System Improvements and Energy Saving Project.

The NWSDB has advised residents in the affected areas to make the necessary arrangements to store water during the water cut period.

Further, the NWS&DB has requested the cooperation of the public to conserve water during and after the water cut.
