Honda Sri Lanka issues urgent airbag recall notice



Colombo, April 16 (Daily Mirror) - The sole authorized distributor for Honda Automobiles in Sri Lanka has issued a public notice regarding the ongoing SRS Airbag System Upgrade Recall for Honda vehicle models ranging from 1996 to 2016, urging all Honda vehicle owners to take immediate action.

This recall is part of a global safety initiative to address potential issues with airbag systems in certain Honda models. The company emphasises the importance of checking whether any vehicles are affected and encourages customers to get a free replacement for faulty airbags without delay.

“We are committed to the safety and peace of mind of our valued customers,” a spokesperson said.

“Ensuring your vehicle's airbag system functions correctly is critical in the event of a collision," he added.

All inspections and replacements will be carried out free of charge at authorised service centers across the country.
