There is a taciturn Diyawanna politico who has reportedly said that he will remain an ‘independent’ in the council despite being a senior member of the Top Team!

 A prominent speaker at the May Day rally in previous years, this politico was conspicuous by his absence at any of the May Day rallies this year.

When the politico’s close buddies had inquired from him why he failed to turn up at any of the May Day rallies this year, he had replied: “How could I attend any rally when no political party invited me?”

This politico elected from the Colombo district is said to be in a sulk these days!
