Kabir and Eran meet ministry officials
Highways and Investment Promotion Minister Kabir Hashim and Deputy Minister Eran Wickremaratne conducted their first meeting at the Investment Promotion Ministry, where they met with the senior officials of the Investment Promotion Ministry and the Board of Investment (BoI).
The areas covered at the discussion included the need to fast track projects, upgrading the incentives that the BoI offers investors, strengthening free trade agreements, developing the current one stop shop and other subjects handled by the BoI.The senior officials of the BoI briefed the ministers on the human resources of the BoI and its performance in attracting foreign direct i nvestment (FDI) and generating employment.
