December YoY inflation eases to 9.2%

Sri Lanka's Year-on-Year inflation in December eased to 9.2 percent from 9.5 percent in November, the data released by the Department of Census and Statistics showed.

However, the annual average inflation during the month of December rose to 7.6 percent from 7.2 percent in November. The month to month inflation also rose 0.9 percent.

The food YoY food inflation eased to 9 percent in December from 10 percent in November while non-food inflation rose to 9.4 percent from 9.2 percent in November.
