Doc990 introduces digital health services via Amazon’s Alexa

Introducing the next frontier for conveniently accessing healthcare services from home, Doc990 powered by Dialog Axiata PLC, extended Amazon Alexa voice command support for digital health services for the first time in Sri Lanka.


 This new feature enables customers to easily access the Doc990 services with simple voice commands via Alexa, which can be accessed via Android, iOS with Alexa app and Alexa-supported home devices. Users can simply channel a doctor or book an appointment via Alexa and instantly add the total cost to their Dialog mobile postpaid monthly bill, deduct from their prepaid balance, or pay via their credit/debit card, genie, eZ Cash etc. 


 Speaking on the service launch, Renuka Fernando, Group Chief Digital Services Officer of Dialog Axiata PLC stated, “Doc990 is always on the search for how we can harness the power of technology and improve access to healthcare that also facilitates a modern user’s evolving digital lifestyle.
