University of Wolverhampton says invitations sent to RW was official

She confirmed that former President, his spouse and the Sri Lankan High Commissioner in UK Saroja Sirisena were invited to the convocation of Prof. Maithree Wickremesinghe and for the luncheon.   

Earlier ,the UNP Chairman Vajira Abeywardena argued that Mr. Wickremesinghe’s tour to London was constitutional. 

He said an Executive President has to discharge his duties, in line with law and international practices under article 33(h) of the constitution.
