Transport, Highways and Urban Development Minister Bimal Rathnayake has said that there is no interruption to ongoing construction projects in the country despite the prevailing conflict in the Middle East.
In a video shared on his official Facebook page, the Minister highlighted that key infrastructure developments are continuing without delay, including the construction of the third phase of the Central Expressway.
He said that work on the third phase, which covers the stretch from Pothuhera to Rambukkana and extends up to Galagedara, is currently underway at a steady pace.
According to the Minister, around 75 per cent of the construction work on the Central Expressway section between Pothuhera and Rambukkana had been completed by March this year.
He further reiterated that all major development projects remain on track, with efforts continuing to ensure timely completion despite external global challenges.
