A Buddhist organization in Japan So One Spiritual Society recently held a religious programme at Kataragama Kirivehera temple in memory of the deceased in the natural disaster and to bless those injured or taken ill with early recovery.
The Japanese team was headed by Chairperson of the organization Uyoko Yuda.
Two Sri Lankan businessmen from Kandana in Colombo, living in Japan Lalith Abeywardene and Priyantha Abewardene organized the programme.
The Japanese team had visited Kandy Sri Dalada Maligawa and Anuradhapura Atamasthana temples including Sri Maha Bodhi and made an offering of 100 Atapirikara, before they arrived at the Kataragama Kirivehera Rajamaha Vihara.
Resident Monk of Kirivehera Rajamaha Vihara Ven. Diddenipotha Sugathananda Thera administered religious activities.
The Japanese team was scheduled to leave Sri Lanka after attending religious observances at the Sithulpawwa Rajamaha Vihara.
