First Randoli Perahera parades the streets of Kandy

The first Randoli Perahera of this year’s Kandy Esala Festival paraded through the streets of Kandy yesterday (August 4). The sacred relic casket was carried by the majestic tusker Indiraja, flanked by two tuskers Buruma Raja and Pulathisi Raja. The Grand Randoli Perahera (the final procession) will take place on August 8.
