Associates of crew member of ship placed under quarantine

Health Authorities in Kalutra had taken steps to place several people under house quarantine who had associated with a member of a ship crew placed under quarantine.

The crew member had earlier fled from the ship and visited his house in Payagala, it is revealed.

Administrative PHI in the National Health Institute in Kalutra said the individual concerned, three members in his family and mother and a child of the trishaw driver who provided transport to him to Kalutara were placed under quarantine.
