Switzerland-SL celebrates 70 years of friendship

Celebrating 70 years of diplomatic relations with Sri Lanka, the Embassy of Switzerland presents ‘70 Years | 70 Faces’, an exhibition honouring the individuals who have contributed to this long-standing relationship.

Since 1956, the two countries have shared a strong partnership across diplomacy, trade, culture, and education.

Issuing a statement marking the celebrations, the Embassy notes that the ‘70 Years | 70 Faces’ exhibition shares stories of people who stood by the diplomatic relations and left a lasting impression over the Swiss–Sri Lankan cooperation. Through photographs, exhibition panels, and personal testimonials, the exhibition highlights the individuals whose efforts have strengthened bilateral ties and inspired shared achievements, Embassy stated.

The exhibition will be officially launched on March 6 at Radicle Gallery, De Mel Building, 103, Chatham Street, Colombo.

The launch is invitation only.

Following the launch, the exhibition will be open for public viewing at the same venue from March 7-14, daily from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.

The Embassy invites the public to visit and explore the seven decades of shared history and collaboration.
