Malabe Boys’ School gears up for 2026 rugby season

Preparations for the 2026 school rugby season of Malabe Boys’ School began a few days ago at the school’s premises with a religious ceremony conducted by the academic institute’s Vice Principal, Ven Kendavinne Nanda Thera

Malabe Boys’ School has made a name for itself as a giant killer in the inter-school rugby tournament. These rugby players have made giant strides by first contesting the Division 3 segment and then moving to play in the Division 2 tournament in 2026.  

Preparations for the 2026 school rugby season of Malabe Boys’ School began a few days ago at the school’s premises with a religious ceremony conducted by the academic institute’s Vice Principal, Ven Kendavinne Nanda Thera. Also present at the occasion were the school’s Principal Sisira Guneratne and rugby head coach Ajith Fernando. Several teachers were also present to give strength to the event and offer their blessings to the boys
