Kukus Restaurant, Pub & Bar offers two distinct concepts, catering to different lifestyles and tastes. The first is Kuku Beach, an urban beach-style restaurant and pub designed for relaxed social dining. Whether it’s a meal with family, friends, or colleagues, Kuku Beach promises freshly prepared food with Sri Lankan and Chinese-inspired dishes, bursting with authentic Sri Lankan spices and flavors. The restaurant provides a casual yet premium atmosphere, with high hygiene and food safety standards. Customers can enjoy dine-in, takeaway, or delivery services. Kuku Beach also hosts large events for up to 4,000 guests, private venue hire for 70, and VIP rooms for 20. Currently operating as a BYOB restaurant, Kuku Beach plans to obtain a pub license within the next three months.
The second concept is Kuku Street, a modern street-food outlet aimed at young, urban customers. Its menu features Sri Lankan rice and curry, a wide variety of kottu, buns, fast snacks, and BBQ items. Most meals are priced under LKR 1,500, making it affordable without compromising quality. Kuku Street offers dine-in, takeaway, and delivery services in a lively, youth-friendly environment perfect for students, professionals, and families.
Kukus Group thrives under strong leadership, with Chairman Mr. Nadeera Senanayaka, Managing Director Mrs. Lakmini Gurusinghe, and CEO Mr. Randila Gunasinghe leading a dedicated team across finance, operations, marketing, and service. Their hands-on approach ensures consistent quality, operational discipline, and excellent customer experiences across all outlets.
Baiscope (Pvt) Ltd is another exciting venture by Kukus Group. Inspired by Sri Lanka’s cinematic golden eras of the 1970s, 80s, and 90s, Baiscope celebrates the country’s film heritage. With references to legendary icons like Malini Fonseka and Gamini Fonseka, Baiscope creates a nostalgic cultural space for cinema lovers and cultural enthusiasts. Its first outlet is planned in Colombo later this year.
What sets Kukus Group apart is its commitment to customer experience, affordability, strong branding, and community focus. Even in challenging economic conditions, the group maintains high operational standards, hygiene, and resilient business practices, all while nurturing young, energetic teams.
Looking ahead, Kukus Group plans to expand to five Kuku Beach outlets, ten Kuku Street outlets, and three Baiscope outlets across major and emerging cities in Sri Lanka.
