I have cherished memories of sharing the cockpit with Prasanna numerous times. Together, we experienced the exhilaration of flight, the camaraderie of crew room, and the moments of quiet banter around him during VVIP standbys and at intermediate stops on flights. In those moments, Prasanna’s presence brought not only professional assurance but also warmth, laughter, and a unique sense of camaraderie that made him an unforgettable companion.

Prasanna, was more than a pilot. He was a leader, a good administrator, and an unwavering mentor. He possessed an innate ability to inspire those around him, instilling not only the technical know-how of rotary wing flying but also the values of integrity, responsibility, and an unrelenting love for the skies. His leadership extended far beyond the cockpit, as he guided and supported countless officers and airmen in their professional journeys, leaving an enduring legacy of excellence and mentorship as an administrator.

His bravery in the face of peril was legendary. Prasanna survived numerous high-stakes situations in combat flying, always emerging as a pillar of strength and determination. His courage was a testament to his character—a man who never wavered in his duty to protect and serve his nation, even when the odds seemed insurmountable. He was decorated for his bravery in combat.

As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate a life lived with purpose, passion, and dedication. Prasanna’s commitment to safety, his pursuit of excellence, and his unyielding devotion to aviation will live on in the hearts and minds of all who were privileged to witness his extraordinary journey. He was not just an aviator; he was an inspiration and a beacon of hope for generations to come.

To his beloved family—Shyian, Vishanni, and Nishani—we extend our deepest condolences and heartfelt support during this time of grief. Your loss is shared by all who knew and cherished Prasanna, and his memory will forever be honoured as a source of pride and inspiration.

As we bid farewell to our dear friend and colleague, we take solace in knowing that Prasanna will forever soar among the clouds, eternally part of the skies he so dearly loved. Though his physical presence may be gone, his spirit will continue to inspire us to aim higher, fly further, and live with the same passion and purpose that he exemplified.

Rest in peace, Prasanna. You will never be forgotten. We salute this air warrior, aviator, a steadfast officer, and a true gentleman. Adios, Amigo!
