SLSA in addition to this project has also undertaken to clean, support and maintain several main bus stops across the country. Scouts are at present working on developing ‘Apps’ relevant to railway stations for the convenience of commuters.
The project initially will be carried out for one year to maintain and improve the infrastructure facilities at the railway stations that require same. One of the key objectives of this project is to educate the general public and make them aware of taking ownership of public services, through the Scouts by displaying messages and posters at key places.
The Scouts of the Uva Province will carry out a project to create awareness among many tourists and visitors around the Nine Arch Bridge between the Ella and Demodara railwaystations. Apart from this, efforts will be taken in certain districts to carry out beach clean ups and other environmental related projects.
