EWC SL invites entries for Creative Writing Competition 2026

2025 winners of the EWC Sri Lanka Creative Writing Competition

The English Writers Collective of Sri Lanka (EWC SL) is inviting entries from Sri Lankans aged above 18 years and residing in Sri Lanka, for the annual Creative Writing Competition 2026.

The competition consists of two sections: prose and poetry. 

EWC notes that applicants should submit short stories of up to 2500 words and poetry of 40 lines or less.

Winning entries receive a cash prize and publication in  ‘Channels’, the anthology of prose and poetry, 2026.
