AUSPICIOUS TIMES TO SEEK SUCCESS IN STUDIES, WORK, CAREER, BUSINESS AND LIFE

I would like to present the reader with the auspicious times for welcoming the “Parabava New Year”, for worshipping and following rituals, customs and traditions.

According to the  ancient science, philosophy and astrology system and belief that I follow, practice,  and preach,  the “Parabava New Year” dawns at 8.40 am on  14 2026 (Tuesday). The “Punya Kala” commences from 4.40 am and lasts until 12.40 am on that day.

WHAT NOT TO DO OR INITIATE IN THE NEW YEAR

Based on my experience and expertise, I would like to advise my valuable devotees and readers  not to engage in vital “new endeavours” on that day, as it is not an auspicious day.

However, you are kindly requested to follow the rituals, customs and traditions of celebrating the “New Year” on that day.

The key message that I want to convey is: “Do not  initiate new plans or engage in any new transactions, including  business ones, or start following new educational courses, or getting married, or registering marriage, naming your new born baby, purchasing  new land or house or property or assets.”

WHAT TO DO ON THIS PARABAVA NEW YEAR

To seek knowledge, wealth and prosperity in abundance throughout the “Sinhala and Hindu New Year,” One may consider rising in the early morning and continue to keep one’s eyes closed and reflect on the deeds that one has performed in the past including the previous year and from the lessons learned and experiences gained, one should focus on the “worthy and valuable deeds” one is going to initiate and carry out in the New Year and near future. It is the “ideal time” to “dream big”, “aim high” and “narrow one’s focus” on the selected dreams, goals, objectives, plans and vision.

Henceforth, one may open his eyes and look at one or many of the following “auspicious articles or materials and worshipping or “having dharshan”.

Mirror, Both Palms, Images of Deities or Religious leader, Full pot or filled pot, Religious or Spiritual Holy Scriptures, lotus flower, Flowers, Your right hand, Pictures of angels, fruits, auspicious products, Saffron, sandalwood, Beetle leaves,  and seed of beetle palm

WHAT NEXT?

Apply the “holy, herbal or medicinal water” (“Maruththu Neer”) and take a bath to cleanse your body. Wear your New Year Attire and apply fragrances to your face and spray perfume on your body and clothes. Wear your jewellery,   new ones if you have. Thereafter, worship the “Sun God” (Hiru Deviya”) and offer the “Suriya Pongal” (sweetened rice) to Him and perform your religious rituals  and visit your shrine room at your residence and worship your god (Budhu Rajaananwahanse or Gana Deviyo (Lord Ganesha) and/or “Kataragama Deviya” (Lord Skanda or Lord Muruga) and “EashvaraDeviya” (Lord Shiva) and Goddess Paththini Amma ( Goddess Parvathi)  or your favourite religious leader and deities and seek their blessings in abundance to you, your family, society, Motherland and Universe. 

Thereafter, donate clothing, food, books, or exercise books and most importantly worship your Ancestors, Parents, Pedagogue, Mentor, Religious Leader or Spiritual leader, Elders and seek their blessings to live a resplendent, highly successful, highly favourable, highly productive and highly commendable education, work, career, and business in future.

Soon after that practice, you can meet and greet your friends, relatives, guests and neighbours and discuss positive and goodtopics, listen to music with good and positive vibrations and continue to entertain them with “a sumptuous meal” or if not a simple delicious meal according to your affordability and look at your image in your mirror and thereafter read and or listen to your New Year Predictions made by a genuine astrologer and Numerologist.

Finally, recite prayers and read your holy scripture and end the celebrations on  New Year Day.

Please note that the other auspicious timings shown in the Sri Lankan and Indian Astrology books and journals may differ by citing a common time which may not be highly suitable or apply for everyone but my predictions apply to “all citizens of Sri Lanka and the Universe.”
