Ardent music enthusiast, businessman and singer Chandra Dissanayake who is domiciled in Australia, recently organized a mega musical concert titled ‘Wasantha Warsha’ in Melbourne featuring six Sri Lankan artistes.It featured popular singers Senanayaka Weraliyadda, Shashika Nisansala and Dumal Warnakulasooriya, while Saranga Dissasekara was the compere. Shalani Tharaka, Dinakshie Priyasad and Udara Akalanka featured in the dance sequences.
Indrajith Mirihana directed the music.The concert signified an important milestone for Chandra Dissanayake who officially launched his original Duet ‘Wasantha Warsha’ with Shashika Nisansala during the show.
The song will be released here soon.Chandra Dissanayake said proceeds from the show was used to donate a 160-centimeter tall Buddha statue, costing Rs. 500,000, to the newly built temple in Melbourne.
He was thankful to SriLankan Airlines for joining hands as the travel partner and also Australia’s Channel 31 TV channel.
