WAVES OF HOPE A SUCCESSFUL SOLD-OUT BENEFIT CONCERT

The Western Musicians Association (WMA) and Rotary extended their heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed to the success of “Waves of Hope,” an aid concert dedicated to healing and rebuilding Sri Lanka following Cyclone Ditwah.

The event was held on Sunday, 8 February 2026, at the Galadari Ballroom in Colombo, drawing a full house united by music, compassion, and solidarity.

The concert raised a remarkable Rs. 4 million for flood relief efforts, including Rs. 400,000 in on-the-spot donations during the event. Every cent collected will be utilized transparently for the benefit of those affected by the cyclone, they said. 

This impactful evening was made possible through the collaboration between WMA’s talented musicians and Rotary’s trusted service leadership. 

The evening featured outstanding performances by renowned dance band Misty alongside Dalreen, Clifford, Rukshan, Dina, Sohan, and Lulu—all of whom generously volunteered their time and talent. Their lively performances kept spirits high well past midnight as guests enjoyed a wonderful variety of music for both listening pleasure and dancing.
