The much-hyped movie ‘Tsunami’ directed by Dr. Somaratne Dissanayake and produced by Renuka Balasooriya is slotted for screenings in Australia from May 16 onwards.
The screenings are organised by the Sinhalese Cultural Forum of NSW in association with Lanka Events headed by Kithsiri Karunaratne.
Tsunami will be screened on May 16 in Sydney and Brisbane, in Melbourne on May 23 and Canberra on June 6. More screenings are scheduled in the coming months too.
This will be the first Sinhala movie with Dolby Atmos sound to be screened in Australia.
The Tsunami cast comprises Niranjani Shanmugarajah, Darshan Dharmaraj, Himali Sayrurangi, Bimal Jayakody, Menara Weeratunga, Suneth Shanthapriya, Chinthaka Kulatunga, Anuruddhika Padukkage, Ashoka Serasinghe, Giriraj Koushalya, Sampath Tennekoon and several others.
Vishva Balasuriya handled the cinematography, Rohana Weerasinghe the music direction, Ajith Ramanayake the editing and Sunil Wijerathne the art direction.
