Recently held at Curado Art Space, Ranjith Perera’s exhibition, ‘Echoes of Life: Narrative Realism’, featured a compelling collection of oil and charcoal works that document the ‘dignity of ordinary life’ through portraits, heritage architecture, and native wildlife. The collection showcased Ranjith’s signature style of Narrative Realism, blending classical precision with expressionist energy. From the evocative ‘Guardian of the Forest’ leopard study to historical depictions like the Dalada Maligawa in the early 1900s, the works serve as a visual archive of Sri Lanka’s rich cultural and natural heritage.
