MINDSCAPES Dreams and Memories

Barefoot Gallery is pleased to present Mindscapes: Dreams and Memory, an exhibition featuring sculptures by V. Vimal and works on paper by T. Krishnapriya.

Vimal subjects his raw material of recycled copper metal to cutting, hammering, and scorching. His sculptures thus embody the scars of nightmares and the vessels weigh of silence. Krishnapriya’s embossed drawings and detailed lines on paper mark the fragile resilience of personal and collective memory.

For both artists, their works bear witness to the stories emerging for a subconscious depth. Dreams and memories are interwoven to serve as sites of remembrance and resistance, battling distortion and erasure.
