Global R&B Icon Ne-Yo Partners with Sri Lankan Visionaries to Launch Brown Boy Pvt Ltd

Sri Lanka will host a landmark concert in December, with Ne-Yo headlining the company’s first event in Colombo.

The entertainment scene in South Asia is set to change with the launch of Brown Boy Pvt Ltd, a new entertainment company co-founded by three-time Grammy Award-winning artist Ne-Yo, along with Sri Lankan entrepreneurs Amith Boteju and Champike Munasinghe.

Brown Boy Pvt Ltd aims to improve Sri Lanka’s place in global entertainment. The company is based in Colombo and has a strong vision: to create a vibrant entertainment circuit based out of Sri Lanka that connects India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, and the Maldives, which together have over 1.8 billion people and untapped opportunities in event tourism.

The event has received the official endorsement of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, under the Ministry of Tourism, recognizing Ne-Yo Live in Sri Lanka as a flagship initiative in the development of the country’s emerging concert economy. In its endorsement, the SLTPB emphasized the concert’s potential to significantly enhance Sri Lanka’s global image as a vibrant, multidimensional tourist destination, aligning perfectly with its strategic focus on attracting high-value, experience-driven travelers. By hosting a world-class artist like Ne-Yo during the country’s peak tourist season, the event is expected to stimulate regional travel flows, boost hotel occupancy, and generate substantial economic impact across the tourism and hospitality sectors. The Bureau commended Brown Boy Pvt Ltd for its bold vision in positioning Sri Lanka as a credible host for international entertainment and affirmed its support in promoting the concert as a key highlight in the national tourism calendar.
