An exclusive fashion show titled ‘Layers of Russian Elegance’ was recently held at the Russian House in Colombo, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Russia through design. The event featured three Sri Lankan designers, each presenting collections inspired by distinct elements of Russian history and artistry. Headlining the show, Natharlea Liyanage unveiled ‘Under the Petal’, a collection influenced by the grace and discipline of Russian ballet. Pubudi Lawanya followed with ‘Cosmic Odyssey’, drawing inspiration from Yuri Gagarin’s pioneering spaceflight, and closing the evening, Shavindi Wijesooriya presented a collection inspired by the grandeur of Russian architecture.
