Celebration of Colour

The Young Women's Hindu Association organized this event and it was most certainly  a night of colour, glamour and good entertainment. Yamuna, a live wire of the Association as she is in many other organsations,  invited  me and several other friends and we all sat together at one table.  Among those at the table were Shyami, Preethi, Lila, Anushka and a few others.  The entertainment included many different  dances performed by an attractive group of young men and women and a fashion show. A  highlight of the evening was when four ladies were honoured and presented with flowers for being Presidents of other Associations as well. The ladies who were honoured were Mrs Mano Canagasooriyam, Project Chairperson, Vathani Ponnambalan, Vanathy Ravindran,and Yamuna Ganeshalingam.  This Association does many projects for the underprivileged among  them a Home for Elders which I have visited and is run very well. It was a well organized evening and for a most worthy cause.
