Artist Spotlight Gayan Prageeth By John Keells Foundation and City of Dreams

Life is a Circus, is the sixth Artist Spotlight at City of Dreams Sri Lanka, showcasing new work by Sri Lankan artist Gayan Prageeth, curated by Kasun Jayamanne. The exhibition explores themes of conflict, social instability, and resilience, using the circus as a metaphor for contemporary society—vibrant on the surface yet sustained by invisible labour and risk. Focusing on youth navigating ongoing challenges, Prageeth presents acrylic and ink works on rice paper alongside immersive installations with found materials. Hosted at Cinnamon Life, the exhibition continues City of Dreams’ commitment to integrating art into everyday spaces, inviting reflection on endurance and the human spirit.
