The Lanka Private Bus Owners' Association (LPBOA) today said that they have decided to limit the private bus operation by 50% from tomorrow due to the absence of adequate fuel for the buses.
Addressing the media, LPBOA Chairman Gemunu Wijerathe said that fuel supplied to private buses through the Sri Laka Transport Board (SLTB) depots is now stopped.
The required fuel, provided through SLTB depots, was stopped three days ago and it was also on limited volumes, he said.
As a result, the association has decided to reduce bus operations by half starting tomorrow from the total fleet, Mr. Wijerathne said. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)

Absolutely no loss to the public!! Don't operate at all, it's much better! People will find their own mode of SAFE/CHEAP/CLEAN/(the list is endless) transport.
