this is a by gone wisdom and still not bad to heal the war wounds. It could have been done long time ago in 2010 soon after the war ended. but it is not too late heal war wounds. I hope some more reconciliation projects come into application like this. We must take on board all minority communities to develop this nation. That demands some viable models and project and inclusive policies. such as making Tamil an official language in Tamil areas and giving some more privileges and rights to do their cultural and religious matters without government too much interferences. Please take on board all communities . This is an arts of politics in the modern world. Multiculturalism and pluralism are part and parcel of modern world. Sri Lanka should think about it carefully and scrape old idea of one country and one law. It has done more harm for economy than any thing else.

Will the National Anthem be sung in Tamil as well at every government event including the Independence Day celebrations as another step in the right direction for the reconciliation process?
